The App
Nistikon is a reference and practice aid for Eastern Orthodox Christians, providing a fasting calendar, feasts and saints, a Pascha countdown, and a personal prayer rule built from public-domain prayer texts. Its bundled reference and prayer content works offline.
Religious Guidance, Not Rules
The fasting information in Nistikon reflects a widely published simplification of Orthodox fasting practice and will not match every jurisdiction or household. It is general religious reference, not medical, dietary, or pastoral prescription. Always follow the guidance of your own priest or spiritual father.
Subscriptions
Nistikon offers an optional auto-renewing subscription (Nistikon Premium) with monthly ($2.99 per month) and yearly ($9.99 per year) options. Each option includes a two-week introductory trial for eligible new subscribers. There is no lifetime product.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions after purchase.
Content & Sources
All prayer texts are drawn from public-domain sources (notably Isabel Hapgood's Service Book of the Holy Orthodox-Catholic Apostolic Church, 1906). Saint descriptions are written independently for this app. No copyrighted liturgical translation is reproduced. Full attributions appear in the app under Settings › Content Sources.
Disclaimer of Warranties
Nistikon is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. While we strive for liturgical accuracy, we do not guarantee that every date or rule is correct for your parish. Verify important dates with your parish calendar.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
